20 questions with Sarah Anthony of Christian rock band The Letter Black

1. How long as the band been together?

We have been a band now for three years, a little over three years.

When you first came out you were known as Breaking the Silence - why the name change?

There was another band who had the name Break the Silence. We didn’t know about them because they broke up in 2004. Obviously the names were very similar and they still owned legal rights to the name, so we had to change the name because of the other band.

    • When approached by Tooth & Nail about a record, why just an EP?

    We would have done a full-length album, but we wanted to have something to sell for the Skillet tour. This wouldn’t have left us a lot of time for promotion of a full-length album.

    So we put out an EP so we would have something to sell, and that way we would have months to promote the full-length, which is coming out in February.
